The Gilded Serpent presents Denis Kavemeier Denis Kavemeier plays bouzouki and guitar with the Oasis bellydance music band in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  Oasis has released 4 albums, which are sold throughout the country and overseas.  Oasis has won a WAMI award(Wisconsin's version of a Grammy) as the top ethnic music band in the state.  In addition to his involvement with Oasis as its co-founder, Denis often performs as a duo with his dancer wife JuliAna,  as a sideman with other ethnic bands, and as a solo performer on stage and in restaurants.   A former newspaper and magazine reporter and editor, Denis has written numerous articles about music and dance.  He has a journalism degree from the University of Wisconsin, where he also studied music.  Denis is the imaging coordinator for the Hal Leonard Corporation in Milwaukee, the world's largest print music publisher.
