Amy has been dancing for (cough-cough-cough) years. She came to the Bay area from the California desert for college, where she took up folk-dancing. Folk led to Middle Eastern and also an interest in the culture and arts of the Middle Eastern world in general.

She is also an active member of the Giza Club.
