Saroya Ahlaam

I have been dancing since about 1992 and live in Medford Oregon. I joined Troupe Mandala 2 years later and have the joy of winning many competitions while a member. I have also branched out as a soloist and was 2nd Runner Up in the 2000 Bellydancer of the Year Competition (Grand Dancer) and also won the "Goddess" category at the 2002 Bellydancer USA Contest. I have been a featured dancer with Sirocco, Brothers of the Baladi and Pangia. I'm currently recovering from knee surgery (hence my current focus on photograpy and costume making) but I will be back to dancing soon!

...she was a replacement at Rakkasah for a no-show and did a great job! I was so impressed with the crystals on her costume. You could see them sparkle from the back of the auditorium.
