Shazadi Shazadi is young and energized. Despite her youth, she has a world of experience. She knows how to please the crowd and can dance for any audience. From traditional Arabic to Arabic pop, from classic rock to gothic fusion she will take you on a magical carpet ride to a faraway land. Not only has Shazadi learned belly dance from her mother,
Zakia Hamwee, she has studied with some of Miami's most
respected dancers/instructors, Scheherazade and Jihan
Jamal. She has been educated in traditional Lebanese style by
Tasha Banat and non-traditional
belly dance by Saz'rhah of El Paso. Shazadi has been
performing belly dance since the age of 6 and is one of El Paso's most
popular performers. Shazadi is the co-choreographer of the Flames
of Araby, & a member of the award winning troupe The Sheik
and Flames of Araby. She is the founder and artistic director of
a belly dance club at Loretto Academy, Banat Al Jana, a troupe
