Gilded Serpent presents...Nancy and Bud Hawkins
Nancy Silverberg Hawkins
is the wife of Lynette's bio-father. She is both a 3rd grade school teacher
and an admistrator of the Title 1 program in her district. Her class is
made up, primarily, of low income Hispanic kids who live in Thornton CO,
a suburb of Denver. Nancy is a skilled, knowledgeable, and caring
teacher - just the type of person that if one could choose his/her children's
teacher, Nancy would be the one. Her many years of working with kids has
helped make her the wonderful grandmother she is.
Horace
(Bud) Hawkins is Lynette's
bio-father. The two of them (Lynette and Bud, that is) met each other
for the first time about 15 or so years ago. Bud is a semi-retired restaurateur,
and newspaper publisher, who now does consulting for small businesses
and is quite supportive of his wife, Nancy, who works full time; Bud doesn't.
