Emily- Farasha
Emily (aka Farasha) has been dancing for a whopping 3 years. She studies primarily under Janette Brenner in Monterey, California at the Park Avenue Studio, and also dances with the Park Avenue Troupe.
For Emily, bellydance has become a very expensive, all-consuming hobby.
She tries to learn as much as she can about the dance, music, and Arabic
culture.When
she’s not balancing
a sword on her head, Emily can be found hiking, playing video games,
working, or sleeping.She is married to her wonderful husband and has 2 horrible cats.

at Raqs LA, One Dancer’s Journey Back Home by Emily Farasha
There
was a nice variety of vendors, mostly leaning towards the cabaret style
of costuming and props, although there were vendors catering to tribal
dancers as well. Dancing on two open stages provided constant entertainment
with a variety of performance types.
