Erica began belly dancing in late 2003. Instantly seized by the bug, she continues to attend classes and troupe rehearsal with Christina Bates and the Aiewa School of Cultural Dance in Victoria, BC, as well as attend workshops with renowned master teachers.

The history and diversity of the dance is also an area of interest for Erica. Getting her hands on any thing she can read in regards to regional and ritual dances and dancers, the history and development of the dances and how they are viewed by society, Erica enjoys researching and writing about bellydance as well as practicing it. Planning to travel to Egypt, she hopes to watch local dancers and study with teachers there.
