Jonatan Gomes

Brasilian and American Oudist, Percussionist and Composer of Arabic and Egyptian Tarab Music, Jonatan Gomes, aka Jonatan Derbaq, was born in a musical family where he grew up playing a number of stringed instruments and percussion since childhood. He has studied music and percussion from some of Egypt’s greatest masters and has performed and conducted workshops all over the United States as well as in Cairo, Egypt.
