Ken James

Ken James is a Bay Area choreographer and Artistic Director of Fellow Travelers Performance Group whose work blends physicality and the absurd in thought provoking collages of performance. Current work is dealing with adam and eve, reincarnation and obscuification with collaborators Lawrence LaBianca and Mathew Antacky. Ken has taught and shown his work across the United States including Weslyan University, CT and Hollins College, Virginia and internationally at Firehall Arts Center, Vancouver Canada.. In 1996-7, Ken was the Technical Director of Dancers' Group Studio Theater in San Francisco, a Curator of the Visceral Video Festival and producer of the Month of Sundays series. He has been a member of Kei Takei's Moving Earth, performing in the premiere of "24 Hours of LIGHT' in Minneapolis, MN. He has performed for Li Chiao Ping Dance, Dziga Vertov Performance Group, Project Bandaloop, POTRZEBIE Dance
Project, Chopsticks and Sneakers, and the UCLA Dance Company. Ken holds a BA in Philosophy from Oberlin College.
