Video added April 1, 2009 Clowning around with Bert and Glenn Somewhere in Europe a film was made and these are the outtakes. Glenn Schneider, Bert Balladine and Bert's wife(?) dance a story involving a clown and a strong man who compete for the affections of a ballerina (or tightrope walker?). This footage was taken from 16 mm film and had no original sound. Bert gave the film to Carl Sermon to convert to vhs and now to a digital file.

At this time I think I was longing for a well-documented dance, old and structured. I was a little sad because I saw how people who were not properly trained but who just had a costume would teach Oriental dance. Plus the deep connections of Indian dance to the Divine were very interesting to me. At the end of it all, I realized that my body, my soul and my blood are meant to do Oriental.
